The Role
The Contracts Manager is responsible for the planning and direction of the project from the launch meeting to the conclusion of the project.
Responsibilities include liaising with the Commercial Team for generation of estimates and final quotes.
To manage and build the external supplier base for contracts works in order to deliver quality, dates and margin.
To work within the budgets agreed with the commercial team and highlight margin erosion when discovered to stakeholders.
To understand Company Processes internally and externally and drive improvement programs when they see where improvements can be made.

01 Responsibilities
The Contracts Manager is authorised to direct any employee of the Company to perform as they require to progress the project for which they are responsible. If the required direction clashes with the objectives of the employee or if resource availability constrains the required action, then the CM should seek direction from the BU Manager.

02 Knowledge
- To liaise with stakeholders to prepare a project plan (CPA) defining deadlines and Key Project Milestone (KPM) dates for both Client and the Company
- To expand the current external suppliers in respect of contract works and onsite installations.
- Liaise with necessary contacts to ensure sites are ready for installation and all necessary approvals have been given to ensure onsite start date.
- To maintain a current bill of materials throughout the project giving current project margin and comparison to estimate.
- To report the reason for margin deviations from estimate to the BU Manager.
- To ensure projects are completed to plan on time and on budget.
- To ensure that if KPMs are missed the impact is assessed and a new plan issues in a timely manner.
- To ensure that any client led change to specification is communicated to the business and on-costs recovered by the Account Manager.
- Ensure any variation to works are covered by correct purchase orders.
- Liaise with necessary contacts to ensure sites are ready for installation and all necessary approvals have been given to ensure onsite start date.

- To comply with Company policies and procedures.
