The Role
Implement and manage an effective design and development function, ensuring that the company's control framework, competitiveness and strategy is developed and maintained effectively.
Duties
Agree on design solution with sales and creative.
Overall responsibility for design/development direction for all aspects.
Ensure specifications, and relevant documentation is on Source to agreed timelines.
Manage workload to meet the agreed deadline.
Provide technical support to the assembly through set-up to first-off production.
Capable of using Solidworks

- Ensuring that all necessary detail is in place (specification, BOM, drawings etc) to ensure that the project is handed over to relevant internal/external teams when it enters the production phase
- All design solutions have to incorporate business best practice materials, features and techniques
- Work on several jobs concurrently, while maintaining high standards
- Test components prior to the production as appropriate to ensure they are fit for purpose
- Store all data in a secure environment using established the business procedures and protocols
